Each year’s lesson, called “The Present Word,” has four quarters of comprehensive Christian Bible Study based on the International Sunday School Lessons which are endoresed by the PC(USA). A study guide-book, which contains weekly Scripture lessons with comments from selected Biblical ministers and teachers is provided for each member. All lessons seek to drawmembers closer to God and Jesus by applying the lessons of faith to their daily lives. At the present time, there are three teachers who rotate each quarter to bring the printed relevant lessons from both the Old and the New Testaments to the faithful believers.
Don Wysor Class
Location: Don Wysor Classroom (Education Wing, 1st Floor)
The Wysor Class will be studying and discussing a book entitled “A Sustainable Presbyterian Future” by Louis B. Weeks, who is President Emiritus of Union Theological Seminary. The book has a subtitle of “What’s Working and Why” and is a case study of why some Presbyterian Churches are thriving while many others are floundering. It also looks at the reasons that mainline Protestant Churches are all struggling to maintain relevancy in the 21st century. It is a very positive book that offers suggestions and hope for the future of the church we love.
In the Wysor Class all opinions are encouraged and welcomed and we would welcome new members.
